Still nothing from the job front and its making me antsy. But I think I will give it one more day and call tomorrow. Yeah thats good.

I was almost stranded on campus yesterday. I laid out my bus pass, change and wallent on the counter before I left, I made some calls and before I knew it it was almost time for the bus to come about. I dashed outside and found a quarter in my pocket from a previous trip, caught the bus and got to campus. I was on my way to the ICT Lab when I discovered I didnt have anything but my phone. After running my errands I called some people on campus, they were all out or at lunch. Finally I got a hold of someone and they gave me a ride back.

I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night with a friend at the 2.50 theatre. I will never get tired of that movie, Depp is an awesome actor. I noticed the small guy they have dancing the oompa loompa musical scenes is the same one from Big Fish, in the scene with Danny Devito I think. I knew I saw him from somewhere. THe scene where the little dolls singing melt, its cool and creepy, something only Burton can accomplish. Friday I think we will be seeing the Corpse Bride, tonight I think I will be going to the Bonfire.

I like this city, besides the fact that its hot in the summer, its quiet, its has that small town charm which is rare in Gallup and non-existant in Albuquerque and Phoenix. Its not too congested and its not too big, although it is spread out its really nice. Although I would like to stay here for a while.

I am pressured into deciding whether to move home or to Albuquerque. I really dont want to move to Gallup, unless I get my own place, then I can "rescue" my brother and let him focus more on school and get him into experiencing the world and going out on his own. If he learns to adapt then maybe I can coerce him into possibly going to Albuquerque and UNM, or back down here, and maybe I can get back into school. One place I always liked was Durango, its nice and green and mountanous, plus its a small town with something new. I was always fascinated with Colorado ever since I went down there on a family trip many moons ago and again three years ago for business. I am still deciding.

Hmmmmm banana bread... *nibble* *nibble*

Had a interview Friday with the people from the Parking Division, it went well, they told me I would recieve a reply sometime this week, I am anxious to see if it all works out. I want a new job.

Finally cut my hair Saturday, a friend came by and brought some d/led Simpsons episodes so we watched that, I commented I needed a haircut and she informed me she could do it, I remembered I had electric shears so I dug them out and went to work, I wanted it short but not too short, it was doing fine until she sneezed and cut a nice big swath on the top if my head. After much laughter I decided to get it all cut off. so I have a peach fuzz head now and I like it. The damn shears got stuck at least four times beause of the amount and thickness of my hair, but its nice to have my winter coat shed. My head is a pound lighter.

This week is Homecoming at NMSU, I plan to do some of the activities, at least go to the game, probably the bonfire. Hopefully the Football team can dig themselves of this hole Hal Mumme had dug for them.

Derrick had a cookout Friday also, steak and grilled chicken, his sister in law made these great oatmeal cranberry cookies too, they were awesome. I was there for most of the night I got to see some friends I have not seen since I moved off campus. After the food the ladies went to the movies and we had a guys movie night, Replacement Killers and some other movie, after that the ladies came back and wen roasted Marshmallows, well after watching Derrick and Dan try to start the grill up again, anything involving fire is sure to get a laugh, if no one gets hurt. Overall friday was a great day, I needed that to wind down.

I also went to the Gamers Ball at the Intramural Field at the university Friday. It was all right I was expecting a lot more, all they had was a small stuffy tent with lots of smelly gamers and baby bats, manly a lot of 'freshmeat'. But anyho, I had a good time, played FEAR and Day of Defeat Source for the PC and Farcry and some other games for the XBox, DoD was great, I managed to get half the players going in a coop game, fragging krauts with other humans, it was great. FEAR was good too, in a FFA I had my but handed to me, but I made modest gains. I didnt play most of the console games, but they looked great. I wished they had more PC games though. The band they had playing was ok, but if you listed to them stuff they play nowadays, they sounded just like any other band of the college "punk" cliche.
