I just got back from judging a Robotics Competition here on campus. The NM BEST competition draws mid and high school students from all over the state and Texas and compete against each other using robots they designed and built. Its amazing what some of the youth of today can accomplish. i was in MESA, AISES and Supercomputing Challenge and they didnt live up to this. The robots are supposed to move balloons from a small PVC pipe enclosure and put it into their own corral, and not only do they have the competiton to work on, there are also points in Spirit, Sportsmanship, an informal interview and evaluation at their booth and a formal presentatin of their project and an overview of it. I wish I would have know about this several years ago when I was in High School. It would have been so cool.

Its amazing how one persons words can change your mood and just let all the worries, all the frustrations go out the window and your left with nothing else than happiness.

BLOGGER
Its interesting how just one person can change your entire perspective of life, of the workd, and people in general. How man could be affectionate and a new wave of friendship, happiness and just caring to another human. And yet with this newfound sense of feeling comes a sorrow when separation between two caring people, whether it be an ocean or wall, can bring out the sadness. But once we see or even hear the person, again whether it be 10 inches or 100 miles away, you get the same old feelign that someone you care for is well and they have just the same feelings for you. And when you are done talking, you dont say goodbye, you say talk later, knowing that saying goodbye to someone you adore is one of the hardest things you will ever say.
