I am happy my mom is coming to visit. Coming all the way down from Las Cruces to see me and get away from it all. Its going to be interesting, she has not yet seen my apartment and I am anxious to see my brothers and her. I have also cleaned and did some light straightening of my room in preparation. Its good to make a goot impression when you are a college student. They can check out my "Bachelor Pad" (My roomate has non ceremoniously called our little domain.) I hope they come, right now its a go, but som many things can happen, I want them to come down not only can my mom relax a bit out here away from everything, but one of her friends wants to see whats out here, I like showing off this town, its so different from what we have lived at, the last time my mom's friend has been out here was a little over a decade ago, when this was just another secondrate southwest oasis in the neverending sea of brown and yellow. I have told him a LOT of things have changed and he doesnt believe me, hopefully he comes down and I show them around, here and Sunland Park and El Paso, since I now know where everythings at and prevent getting lost. I should know within a couple of hours. I hope they come.

Video game skills may give edge in life - ITNews - smh.com.au
Yet another article featuring research on how playing video games helps you in life. Not only does it improve reaction time, prehipheral vision, and vision, it also teaches us about organization, planning and teamwork in a demanding yet entertaining environment. All those days in high school hiding in the counselors office. I was a Technology coordinator and had a ID badge that i could use as my own personal hall pass, whenever I didnt want to go to class I put it on, walked to a empty room with a computer, walk up to a janitor, flash my badge and ask to have the door opened. Once in I had all the computers on and called my friends to play, anyone came in we Ctrl-Shifted and looed like we were running utilities on it. We could get away with so much those days. And I graduated High School too. Playing TFC and CS back then may pay off, nowadays its Battlefield 1942, Desert Combat, Rise of Nations, and SC BW. Does that mean playing all those strategy games will make me a better business planner. I should add gameplay and genre to my resume, and attach all the " games good for you" articles I have come across. But I have not had much time for games, being in school and all, but that has never stopped me before.
