Feel good today, got off work early and i am off tomorrow, w00t!!!

Anyho its been an ok week so far, payday week, pay bills rent, food crap like that. plus its one of my friends birthdays, this week, missed his party monday due to work, if i knew about it I would have not decided to pull a double, but anyho, probably treat him and his wife out to dinner, something good, no hamburgers or anything, steak real food anything, something that takes longer than 15 minutes to serve and its not in a box or wrapped up.

Got my evaluations today, they royally sucked, everything was good, A's all across the score sheet just my time to serve has been way off, 4+ mintues when the target time is three mintues or less, one is even listed as a wait time at 10 minutes! If I had to wait 10 mintues for my food I would have left a long time ago. What they do is have secret shoppers grade you on things like cleanliness oand appearness of store, crew, food, temp, layout and presentation of food, attutued and willingness of crew order takers, servers, and to make sure the prduct is delivered in a modest amount of time. I did good all across the board, except my time to prepare and hand out orders, something I have to work out.

Had a really nice girl come in today, turns out she wants to apply for a job, luckily my boss, interviewed her as soon as she turned in her app, sat down, talked, and even laughed, meand another crewmember swore they were flirting, our boss is a really smooth operator, anyho he wraps it up, turns out she is a Native, possibly Navajo and lived in Gallup! I checked my year book and confirmed we even went to the same bloody high school! so I am not the only resident native, she was at work for only half an hour and she is already popular. Hopefully she lasts the tenure of the summer, it would be nice to talk to some one of my own ethnicity.

After the hype of lunch every one went off their shift and there was just two of us we ate and restocked the big things, this big truck comes up and in comes a young couple, their two little boays, and their elder uncle grandfather, they look at my crewmember ( a white female) and me and suddenly go off telling us their order in spanish, wel look at them for a couple of seconds and look at each other giving our "you understand them right?!?!" look, they stop staring at me and look at her, aware of our inability to understand them, all i understood was queso and uno dos, after number taking and constant finger jabbing at the menu, we get their order (we thought), then Nate shows up to his shift early and looks at it, we tell him our dillemna and find out he speaks very little spanish, so he gets the courage to go see them and tries to figure out what they really ordered, he comes back with a little more items on the bag, we got most of the order right anyways. i Was glad someone understood them, but what really ticked me off was that their youngest boy, no more than two years old, started pushing our high chair around, then suddenly in the middle of the dining room he starts climbing it! me and the other girl watch him with anxious looks in our eyes, she gasps as he climbs higher and higher, she tries to tell the parents of what is happening behind them, but they do nothing! nothing, they glance at their son perched precariously on the chair and go back to the menu, it was a relief the stupid kid got off the chair. It was not a really big deal, but with a little brother, I just cannot think that the little rugrat would have hurt himself, or just give him a little bump on the head and started screaming like a banshee.

Worked lunch shift today, it was pretty good, went smooth, one crewmember whom (Chris) the boss and I thought would give us trouble did not but worked her butt off, she got a free meal courtesy of me and Chris. The shift was great, Chris could not get the tune of Chantilly Lace out of his head, after that i ended up humming it and now its stuck in my head. there is this employee we have whose name is Jesse, he is, what Chris describes as a "wannabe thug punk" he is pretty cool although sometimes its hard to understand him, when the applicant came in and chris was done interviewing her he was literally jumping up and down asking what her name was and how old she was and all this and that.

What now to do, I think I will play Guild Wars.....

BFV Movie: The Fallen One This is a really good example of innovation.
Its a movie made up of PoV fotage shot from Battlefield Vietnam edited to music with sound effects to produce a short sotry about a patrol gone bad, very cool and very creative.
it can be downloaded here for free, no sign up crap, this is really neat.
If I could push myself and quit being lazy i could almost come up with something like this, almost.

Back to sleep

Tired tired tired, working so much, well not too much just that we got a new crop of employees so I have been training and helping them out, had one for graveyard this weekend, she did pretty well, the other trainee is doung pretty well as I am told.
Splurdged and got meself a computer game, I was eyeing Empire Earth 2 but i decided to go for something else and pre ordered Guild Wars, a MMORPG, its pretty interesting, think of it as Diablo 2 with a lot more freedom of movement, right now I am working on Andara a level 7 Warrior Ranger, so far its pretty interesting, I have been playing it quite a lot, staying up until 3 playing it. I would like to get Empire Earth but I think I am going to wait until Battlefield 2 comes out, although that my be far off, screw it i will getting it. I will probably buy BV Vietnam used for the hell of it, they have a new WW2 mod for it, I would like to have it.
Recently I have had a lot of old friends get a hold of me, its wierd this week alone I have had three friends, two from my hight school days and one from mid school, its great to hear from them all, brings back some memories, I was told of some other friends and thier locations, mostly around Phoenix and Albuquerque, and some email addys.
Saw Kung Fu Hustle Thursday, freakin awesome movie!!! I heard it was one of those rare asian films that comes across once in a while, and it was a truly unique movie, from the same people that did Shaolin Soccer. The only way to describe it is a slap stick movie with jaw dropping moves, it was really interesting, it even includes a homage of sorts to the coyote and roadrunner of lonney toons fame. Another movie I want to see is Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, I was told it was ok, so possibly thursday I will see it with sme friends.
