Yahoo! News - Study Finds Video Games Good for Treating Phobias

I find this article very interesting. A while back I found another article that stated people who play first person shooters or anything of the type develops better phreipheral vision, faster reflexes and the ability to track several objects at once. The teens who play these kind of games (like me) find theselves also better problem solvers of situations and puzzles. This article just reflects that sitting on your butt in front of a computer or TV set playing games can actually be beneficial. Even the army is experimenting with first person shooters and strategy games which do the above, solders have been up to playing games like Half Life and Battlefield 1942. The army even released their own game in the hopes it would boost recruitment. If this article is correct, if I play something like Grand Theft Auto 3 I can get over my phobia of driving in a somewhat morbid way!
